Choosing The Right Printer Ink Cartridge For An Office
2011-02-03
The use of your office space will decide what kind of printer you need. The type of printer that you finally decide is necessary to complete all office tasks, and will determine the kind of printer ink cartridge you use. The ink cartridges are included in most printers when purchased, if none came with your printer you can identify the type of office printer ink needed by the make and model of printer. You can compare and contrast compatible ink cartridges and decide.
Most offices use inkjet printers such as Epson, Lexmark, HP, and Canon. These are just a few inkjet printers available to you, be aware that not all printers use the same kind of inkjet designs. Most printers use thermal inkjet which use a heating method installed in each partition that creates an excess of ink that falls on to the paper. When the ink in the cartridge is low, and you are still printing it is possible for the heating elements to burn out. This could result to damage of the print head, so it is recommended to replace the office printer ink when your printer informs you of ink depletion. Other printers like Epson, use piezoelectric crystals instead of a heating method. The crystals change shape and size until a forced droplet of ink is pushed on to the paper. These types of inkjet printers are beneficial because they allow the use of inks that don't react good to being heated.
There are many different variants of each type of ink cartridge. Two separate cartridges are inserted into the printer; one containing black printing ink and the others with the three primary colors, red, green, and blue. Some manufacturers make a printer ink cartridge that is specially made and enhanced for printing photographs. Manufactures produce a line of ink cartridges tailored for your specific printer. In some cases your printer will only accept the cartridge made specifically from your printer's manufacture. Other venders started creating compatible ink cartridges at lower cost placing risk in quality, and even damage to certain makes and models of printers.
Depending on the type of printer you have will determine the type of Ink Cartridges needed, some prefer Epson style inkjet printers and others the Lexmark thermal approach. Once decided you will have to either purchase ink from your printer's manufacture or take a chance and purchase your cartridges from a third party vender. You will need a black ink cartridge in either type and also a second printer ink cartridge that will contain the three primary colors. They even have available better higher quality ink cartridges for photographs. Make sure your ink cartridges and printer are compatible.
